The infamous Petaluma dogchicken

the Petaluma dogchicken

Since the first recorded sightings in the 1870s up to the present day, the Petaluma dogchicken presents a puzzling phenomenon. Traditionally considered a harbinger of disaster, the dogchicken was notably sighted just before the great quake of 1906 rocked the Bay Area, destroying the nearby city of San Francisco.

Is the Petaluma dogchicken just an urban legend, an inter-generational hoax or a collective hallucination? Nobody seems to know for sure.
